Juan Diego Gonzálvez's art is placed in the counterpoint between beauty and hideousness. It creates in the observer the sublime emotion. His art's hideousness as well as his art's beaty are never violent. But they both supply the observer of a whole of feelings that Aristotle would want to name catharsis.
