Jesús Mateo Cano fue el pintor de los murales de la Iglesia desacralizada de Alarcón (Castilla-La Mancha). En ella, cual danzantes oníricos del paraíso, aparecen figuraciones y desfiguraciones de corte surreal, infantil y primitivo. Como cuando habita la ruina una nueva vida. Como superar la tragedia romántica para apostar por un feliz expresionismo de monstruosidad delicada.

Jesús Mateo Cano was the painter of the desacralized church in Alarcón (Castilla-La Mancha. Spain). In these murals we can find surreal, childish and primitive imagining and deformities that appear like paradise's dancers. They inhabit the ruins with a new life. They beat the Romantic tragedy by betting on the happy expressionism of delicate monsters.
